If you enjoy going all out with Christmas decorations, you likely know they can take up a lot of space, especially if you have limited attic or garage storage.

This foldable 3D printed Christmas tree ornament is another great print for those of you without much storage space, but who also want something a little fancier. Folded together it makes for an attractive hanger for your tree, but opened up it can be used for candy or stocking stuffer toys.

Some users have noted failure prints, but the designer has since added a brim to the design to help prevent filament loss, so be sure the version you download includes these brims before you print.

3. Fully 3D Printed Tree

  • Download: Thingiverse
  • Designer: 3DCentralVA
  • Price: Free

If you’re in the market to 3D print your own entire Christmas tree, then look no further. Using a technique known as ‘drooloop’, the designer was able to create a threaded string look that comes together to make a pleasantly ‘fuzzy’ 3D printed tree.

The tree was decorated using scaled-down versions of these 3D printed ornaments, which were attached with a glue gun.

To learn more about the drooloop process, you can check out the full information and instructions in creator peetersm’s Thingiverse files.

4. 3D Printed Christmas Lights

Do you also feel like Christmas lights have gotten too minimalist? This designer sought to recapture that magic with oversized 3D printed Christmas lights to at some dazzle to your festive décor.

If you get your hands on translucent filament in various colors, all you need to do is make sure to preset a color change after the base is finished. Then, you’ll find your LED-ready 3D printed Christmas lights ready to hang in no time.

5. Christmas Baubles

If you don’t want to hunt around to find the different colored shapes and sizes you want, then you’ll love this collection of different 3D printed baubles. With 35 different prints, all you need to do is make sure you have enough different colored filaments.

Each bauble includes a handle so you can hang them with simple hooks, but they are printed separately. So if you make any adjustments to any given bauble’s size, make sure you alter the size of the handle accordingly.

6. LED Icicle Tree Ornament

  • Download: Thingiverse
  • Designer: HobbyHoarder
  • Price: Free

If you like to decorate your tree to celebrate the wonders of the season instead of just the usual Santas, Rudolphs, and colored balls, then this 3D printed Christmas icicle is for you.

It’s an easy and cheap print that only needs a couple of screws and some LED strips to work. Of course, you’ll want to use clear or white filament to make sure you get the desired light effect. But it still works nicely as a 3D printed Christmas decoration even without the lighting.

7. Intricate Ornaments

For those of you who want something a little more unique or complex, these intricate 3D printed Christmas ornament designs are a minimalist yet hypnotic addition to any Christmas tree.

These ornaments use string art to make different shapes and patterns within a printed circle that you can hang on your Christmas tree. They don’t require supports and are deceptively simple prints that anyone can manage.

3D Printed Christmas Décor and Accessories

Trees aren’t the only thing to decorate over Christmas, and using 3D printing to deck your own halls is a great way to customize your home for the holidays and wow both family and friends alike.

Tabletop decorations are always a nice way to keep Christmas alive and well even when you’re not around the tree, and this winter cabin snowglobe style light is one of the best. If printed in white with no more than 8% infill, it makes a cozy light for your mantlepiece or hallway.

Because it’s designed to be largely hollow, it can also work as a Christmas tree topper or decoration if you like.

9. Minimalist Christmas Tree

  • Download: Printables
  • Designer: mantaxus
  • Price: Free

If you’re the kind of person for whom less is more, or you just want a simple decoration to fill up some empty space, then this easy-to-print Christmas tree is the perfect decoration. Anyone should be able to print it with no issue, making it the perfect starting point for beginners out there.

The standard size in the files is exactly 4 inches (100mm), and it can be scaled up or down in your slicer software to suit your printer size or decoration needs.

10. 3D Printed Christmas Village

  • Download: Thingiverse
  • Designer: FiveNights
  • Price:  Free

Festive tableaus are a staple of many a holiday décor, and much like the cabin light, this lovely print is the perfect cozy table decoration for anyone who needs a little more soft lighting. Again, printing it in white with only around 7% infill lets an orange LED light up the scene to give a comfortable glow.

If you like this print but would rather have something smaller, or you just have a particularly small printer, then you can instead print this miniature version to avoid having to rescale the model yourself.

11. Snowman Fidget Toy

  • Download: Printables
  • Designer: 3D Printy
  • Price: Free

Those of you with children in your life will know that everything is a toy, including the decorations you’ve worked hard to print and display. Fortunately, this snowman fidget toy is a combination 3D printed Christmas decoration and fidget toy, so you won’t have to worry about the rest of your decorations being moved around or broken.

It’s designed to be printed in multiple parts without any supports, though you may need to add rafts to the more circular sections as they won’t have much contact with the build plate during printing.

12. Gingerbread House Kit Card

Another way to keep kids busy while you get your Christmas dinner ready is this delightful gingerbread house kit card. As a print, it comes as a flat-pack toy ready for glue-free assembly, and the outcome is a lovely little house full of holiday cheer.

Be advised that this print has very small pieces which pose a choking hazard, so this is not a toy for smaller children.

13. Hot Wheels Compatible Modern Christmas Village

  • Download: Cults3D
  • Designer: PA1_MAKER
  • Price: $10.27

Sometimes you want a more long-term project to get yourself into the festive spirit. This Christmas village is a great project that’s made to 1/64 scale, making it compatible with Hot Wheels toys and S-scale model trains for even more fun!

The best part about this is that the designer thought of everything, making it a very accessible project even for 3D printing beginners. All the pieces are individual prints so you won’t need to paint provided you have a good variety of filament colors, and each one is already set to the perfect orientation for FDM printing with no supports or rafts required at all!

14. Kinetic Christmas Sculpture

  • Download: JBVCreative
  • Designer: JBVCreative
  • Price: $3.99

For the more mechanically minded of you, this 3D printed Christmas ornament uses gears to rotate two separate snowflake wheels to make a trippy but cool effect. There are four different snowflake shapes to choose from, so you can mix and match to find your preferred combination.

Everything you’ll need to assemble the sculpture is included in the files, meaning you won’t need any additional materials for assembly and use. Just be sure to keep the part dimensions as they are in the STL files to make sure everything works together as it should.

15. Snowflake TIE Fighter Ornament

  • Download: Printables
  • Designer: basti30
  • Price: Free

Star Wars fans will be happy to know that there’s no reason Star Wars and Christmas can’t mix! Fans of the long-running franchise will appreciate this clever little TIE Fighter model with snowflake patterns in its side wings.

You can also download STL files for this similarly designed X-Wing to go along with your new TIE Fighter. Both models print as kit cards, making them a fun activity for you or any kids in your home.

3D Printed Christmas Food and Drink Accessories

16. Christmas Cookie Cutters

Christmas is undoubtedly a time for cookies, and 3D printing your own cookie cutters lets you explore your creative side as you prepare to put a fresh batch in the oven, and these files are the perfect place to start.

With 7 shapes to choose from and a print time of no more than 20 minutes per model, these simple cookie cutters take no time at all and make a delightful addition to your kitchen.

17. 3D Printed Nutcracker

  • Download: Thingiverse
  • Designer: ddchesser
  • Price: Free

Nutcrackers over Christmas are often decorative, so if you want a real nutcracker to crack into your walnuts this festive season, then look no further than this simple 3D printed model that may not look as good, but really works!

The design takes both grip and torque into account to make sure it cracks nuts efficiently and easily without becoming brittle too soon. It’s a great print to keep on the dining table for your guests to help themselves.

18. Santa Hat Bottle Topper

To protect yourself and your floors from these unwanted accidents, I recommend this Santa hat bottle topper, 3D printed for convenience so you can make as many as you need in no time.

It can be printed with one or more materials, so you can easily change the color of the print without needing a dual extruder. So if you have red and white filaments already, then you’re good to go.

19. Candy Bowl

This simple candy dish is a great way to hold all your little snacks and let your guests have at ‘em over the holidays.

It is worth noting that this design was made with thicker nozzles in mind, 1.0mm specifically. While you should be able to print it no problem with a smaller nozzle, you may want to make sure the slicer settings suit your printer to avoid disappointment.

20. Funny Christmas Bottle Opener

  • Download: JBVCreative
  • Designer: JBVCreative
  • Price: $3.99

Instead of having one or two loose bottle openers passing from place to place only to inevitably get lost, why not print out a wall-mounted bottle opener instead?

This particular one is a personal favorite. It’s printed with an internal mechanism that, if assembled following the included instructions, switches the festive sign to a humorous one. If you like, you can customize the message to say something different or even more personal to you and your family.

I could tell you what it says in the original design, but I think it would be better if you check out the video for yourself and get a good chuckle!
