Editor – 3D Printing Content

We’re looking for a part-time expert in the technical side of additive manufacturing and 3D printing to oversee our writing team.

Involves:

  • Fact-checking of existing content and adding higher-level insights and personal experience and imagery, as well as improving the clarity of technical content so that it is easy to understand for less technical readers.
  • Feedback for our writing team on how they can improve their content for future.
  • Recommendations to our formatting and graphics team for which infographics or certain images we can add to improve content.

A good candidate has most of the following:

  • Extensive experience working either full-time in additive manufacturing for a company, or tinkering with your own 3D printers and creating advanced prints.
  • Notability in 3D printing; either from a prominent role in a company, or from creating content on the topic. An ideal editor has published 3D printing content on other publisher websites, has created video content, and is known on social media/Linkedin for 3D printing.
  • Excellent knowledge not of just writing and language, but of how to turn complex topics into simpler explanations. And how to structure this content to maximize helpfulness.

Editor – 3D Scanning Content

We’re looking for a part-time expert in the technical side of 3D scanning and digitization to oversee our 3D scanning content and overhaul our content and strategy.

Involves:

  • Fact-checking existing content, adding higher-level insights and personal experience, and improving the clarity of technical content so that it is easy to understand for less technical readers.
  • Feedback for our writing team on how they can improve their content for the future.
  • Recommendations to our formatting and graphics team for which infographics or certain images we can add to improve content.

A good candidate has most of the following:

  • Extensive experience working in the 3D scanning industry for a 3D scanning service or similar service, or at least having experience 3D scanning, post-processing, and editing from your own hobbyist projects.
  • Notability in 3D scanning; either from a prominent role in a company, or from creating content on the topic. An ideal editor has published 3D scanning-related content on other publisher websites, has created video content, and is known on social media/Linkedin for 3D scanning.
  • Excellent knowledge not of just writing and language, but of how to turn complex topics into simpler explanations. And how to structure this content to maximize helpfulness.

Editor – 3D Modeling & CAD Content

We’re looking for a part-time expert in CAD to oversee our CAD and 3D modeling content and overhaul our content.

Involves:

  • Fact-checking of existing content and adding higher-level insights and experience, as well as improving the clarity of technical content so that it is easy to understand for less technical readers.
  • Feedback for our writing team on how they can improve their content for future.
  • Recommendations to our formatting and graphics team for which infographics or certain images we can add to improve content.

A good candidate has most of the following:

  • Extensive experience working either full-time in CAD / CAD-CAM / CAE / 3D modeling / rapid prototyping or any other adjacent topic e.g. PCB design, CNC part prototyping, or advanced use of CAD tools for your own personal projects.
  • Notability; either from a prominent role in a company, or from creating content on the topic. An ideal editor has published content on other publisher websites, has created video content, and is known on social media/Linkedin for CAD. For example, you’ve created Fusion 360 videos on YouTube and have built an engaged following.
  • Excellent knowledge not of just writing and language, but of how to turn complex topics into simpler explanations. And how to structure this content to maximize helpfulness.
