3D printing Minecraft models and figures are a fantastic way to explore your fandom further, and because of the simple block shapes featured in the game, many Minecraft prints are easy models that are accessible for beginners.

Here we’ll look at some of my favorite Minecraft STL files with a variety of functions, from decorative models to practical prints like maps and cookie cutters.

3D Printed Minecraft Characters

1. Steve and Alex

  • Download: Steve and Alex on Cults3D
  • Designer: COUFIKUS
  • Price: $1.95 each
Steve and Alex 3D Prints

Minecraft 3D prints should naturally begin with the default skins of the player’s character. The designer of these prints created them to be armed with 3D printed Minecraft weapons and tools, which you can find in their collection on Cults3D.

3D Printed Minecraft Model Steve

If you want something more generic, then why not check out these files for a 3D printed Minecraft villager, or the infamous Herobrine for a little Creepypasta in your own home?

2. Creeper

This ‘explosively cute’ Creeper is the best 3D printed Minecraft monster out there.

With a clever insert for the neck, the Creeper’s head can swivel around just like they do in the game. It’s an easy print, though the added files are made for Sketchup to get the texture just right, so if you use different software then you may need to tweak the settings yourself to get the best results.

3. Wolf

  • Download: Thingiverse
  • Designer: emthedragonfly
  • Price: Free
Minecraft Wolf

Wolves in Minecraft are beloved companions for many players, and they’re so cute that it’s easy to forget how vicious they can be. It’s a one-piece print that does require supports, but the outcome is an adorable little canine that’s as cute as it is fun.

If you’d rather have a sitting companion, you can print this more relaxed Minecraft wolf instead.

4. Overworld Mobs

  • Download: Cults3D
  • Designer: TIO_L3DA
  • Price: $2.79
3D Printed Minecraft Models

If you’re undecided on which mob to print first, you can go for this massive collection of 3D printed Minecraft characters and mobs.

Featuring a whopping 23 minifigures of just about everything from Steve and Alex to a Minecraft spider model, all the way up to witches and ghasts, this is the collection for those of you who want a little bit of everything.

5. Enderman Action Figure

  • Download: Thingiverse
  • Designer: casthefanby
  • Price: Free
3D Print Endermen

This awesome minifigure that makes the daunting roaming menace actually seem pretty sweet. It uses ball joints to act like an action figure, though the designer has included a handy video that explains how to work them so you won’t be left in the dark.

For a much creepier version, you can also check out this ominous Enderman action figure, though these files are a little expensive.

6. Animals

  • Example: Thingiverse
  • Designer: dauntlessliger
  • Price: Free

Every Minecraft player has a favorite critter, whether it’s the cute axolotl, friendly bee, or humble chicken.

Whichever is your favorite, these are just a few examples of cool 3D printed Minecraft animal STL file options to add to your collection, and many of them are small enough to be an easy print for a nice desk ornament.

7. Ender Dragon

This 3D printed Ender Dragon is an awesome way to bring the giant monster into your own home.

You can print this Ender Dragon as a trophy after you’ve taken down the hardest mob in the game, a task that was once thought to be practically impossible. It also makes a fantastic gift to any of your friends who have conquered the game’s toughest challenge.

3D Printed Minecraft Blocks

8. Grass Block Container

This grass block acts as a mini storage box complete with removable lid. And since grass blocks are the most common blocks in Minecraft, so this print should be immediately recognizable to all players.

The box is small, making it ideal for storing minifigures or game pieces like dice. If you have bigger plans in mind, you’ll be happy to know that the designer has uploaded STEP files so you can remix and modify the design however you like.

9. Block Collection

  • Download: Cults3D
  • Designer: SUXELP
  • Price: Free

If you want to print just about every block at once, then this collection by Cults3D user SUXELP is a great stop for anyone who doesn’t yet have a specific block in mind.

Featuring classics like TNT and forge blocks, there are quite a few to choose from here, and there are even some Minecraft character models to check out too. Best part is, they’re all free!

10. Stamp Blocks

  • Download: CGTrader
  • Designer: mathgrrl
  • Price: Free
Minecraft Stamps

For something a little more fun and quirky, you can sign off letters or even just doodle using these fun Minecraft block stamps.

Featuring the likenesses of the three main Minecraft mods (zombies, skeletons, and Creepers), these are unique prints that add a little personality to your paper. Since they’re just the heads and faces, they’re fun to use for drawing Minecraft scenes.

3D Printed Minecraft Tools and Weapons

11. Pickaxe

This pickaxe is printed as 68 individual 20x20x20mm blocks, which are designed to be printed in different colors and snapped together for easy (and fun) assembly.

The pickaxe is the most iconic of Minecraft’s tools, and is a notable first build for many players. That’s why I love this 3D printed gold Minecraft pickaxe, which I’m sure many of us built back before we learned that gold is actually quite useless as a tool.

12. Diamond Sword

3D Printed Minecraft Sword

This 3D printed Minecraft weapon is the perfect print for those of you who, like me, played Minecraft since its earlier days and still remember when the diamond sword seemed to be the ultimate goal.

The sword is designed to be slightly smaller than it appears in the game, so it works better as a decorative piece than a cosplay item. Though it does come with a cool stand to display it when you’re not playing with it.

13. Minecraft Weapon Keychains

  • Download: Cults3D
  • Designer: PHJX
  • Price: $0.56
3D Printed Minecraft Keychains

3D printing keychains are a fun way to carry around a piece of your fandom with you wherever you go. For Minecraft fans, these can take the shape of some of the most common tools and weapons in the game’s extensive arsenal.

Featuring the shapes of an axe, sword, pickaxe, shovel, and bow, they’re small and easy prints that anyone should be able to manage.

14. Minecraft Tool Cookie Cutters

  • Download: Cults3D
  • Designer: DMITRIYSK3D
  • Price: $1.40
Cookie Cutters

For those of you who love recipes outside of the game, there are these 3D printed Minecraft tool cookie cutters for your kitchen.

As with all 3D printed cookie cutters, the short time they’re in contact with food should mean you can use any filament safely, though if you’re concerned then you might want to read up on food-safe filaments to put your mind at ease.

Practical Minecraft 3D Prints

3D printed Minecraft stuff can be functional as well as fun, and here are a few of our favorite STL files for practical Minecraft prints that also act as 3D printed home decor.

15. Diamond Ore Lamp

Soft lighting is a nice touch for any home decor, and with 3D printing you can make sure you get something exactly to your tastes without needing to pay to have it custom made. The Minecraft lamp is a great and practical Minecraft 3D print, and the color and intensity of the light can be changed to suit whichever vibe you’re going for.

The Minecraft lamps can be made to replicate anything from diamond to redstone, and the lighting effect they emit if constructed properly is really nice to look at.

16. Minecraft Watch Stands

  • Download: Cults3D
  • Designer: CUBE3DWORLD
  • Price: $2.12

These Minecraft Apple watch stands are a quirky addition to your nightstand that look pretty cute as well as keeping your smartwatch safe while it charges overnight.

The link above will take you to my personal favorite, the sleeping Minecraft fox, but you can find plenty more in the designer’s Cults3D library here, including chickens, pigs, TNT blocks, chests, and many more!

17. Planter Collection

  • Download: Cults3D
  • Designer: MAKEIT3D
  • Price: $4.50
Minecraft Planters

For those of you with green thumbs or just a love of houseplants, these 3D printed Minecraft planters are a great touch. You can choose between the standard grass block, a furnace, or a chest to store your succulents or other plants. In any case, 3D printed planters are a must for any nature-lover.

If you’re not big on plants, these prints still make cool storage boxes to suit a variety of needs like toychests or kitchenware holders.

18. Minecraft Torch Nightlight

The blocky nature of Minecraft lends itself well to this little device, which can be used to provide a small amount of light so you can find your way around at night or look under the sofa when you lose the remote.

Whether you want a backup light in the case of a power outage, or you’re just sick of blinding yourself turning on the lights when you need to get up in the middle of the night, this working 3D printed Minecraft torch is the print for you.

3D Printed Minecraft Games

19. Minecraft Chess Set

  • Download: Cults3D
  • Designer: MSBANDINI
  • Price: $8.25
Minecraft 3D Printed Chess

Unlike many chess sets, the pieces on this 3D printed Minecraft chess set aren’t mirrored, so you have 18 different pieces to play with in a game of humans versus mobs. They can be printed quickly and painted as you like, and the bases are even included in the STL files so you can play right away.

You’re spoiled for choice if you’re looking to 3D print your own chess set, and of course a Minecraft set is just one of your many options. This one caught my eye for its detailing and variety of characters.

20. Minecraft Board Game Addition

Board Game

If you own the Ravensburger Minecraft Board Game, you’ll have already noticed that it doesn’t actually have a board. This designer took it upon themselves to improve their playtime by creating their own 3D printed board for the game to keep the cards in place.

The multiple layers help each player keep track of their resources, and the board even fits snuggly into the official game box so you won’t need to store them separately.

21. Minecraft Board Game Pieces

  • Download: Printables
  • Designer: Seven Oak CTE
  • Price: Free
Minecraft Game Pieces 3D Print

These varied minifigures are modeled after recognizable Minecraft characters and mobs, right down to the cute but deadly Slime monsters. They’re very simple prints that were designed with beginners in mind, made clear by the fact that the creator has included some basic 3D printing instructions and term explanations so anyone can print with confidence.

Whether you’re trying to design your own 3D printed board game or simply want to replace old pieces in official sets with new, unique models, these 3D printed Minecraft game pieces are a great way to play your way.
