So, you’re looking to buy your first 3D printer? Or maybe your second. For dipping your toes into 3D printing you’ll probably want a more beginner-friendly 3D printer, and one that doesn’t cost too much.

Amazon is one of the best places to buy these 3D printers, with one of the widest 3D printer selections you can buy from almost any country in the world.

The only question is: which should you buy?

That’s why we narrowed down the hundreds of available 3D printers, based on the printers we’ve tested and reviewed, to recommend the 11 best 3D printers on Amazon you can buy right now (and even get delivered the next day!) across every price range.

We start with the best Amazon 3D printers under $500, but also recommend printers in the $500 to $1,000 range, as well as above $1,000.

1. Creality Ender 3 — best-selling 3D printer on Amazon

ender 3 best selling 3d printeramazon

Popular for a reason.

Great price-to-performance ratio.

Reliable and fairly accurate.

No automatic bed leveling and other fancier features.

Creality’s Ender 3 is the best-selling 3D printer on Amazon right now, and has been for some time. In fact, the Ender 3’s variations, such as the Ender 3 Pro and V2, are also popular enough to reach the top 10 most popular 3D printers on Amazon.

This is down to Ender 3’s fantastic price-performance ratio: for under $200 you get a functional, reliable and fairly accurate 3D printer for all your hobbyist needs. It, unfortunately, doesn’t have automatic leveling and other fancier features, but it more than makes up for it with the price.

You can pick between:

If you’re confused about the differences, read our article on the Ender 3 range.

Creality’s entire 3D printer range is also available on Creality’s Official store.

2. Anycubic Mega S

Easy assembly and a sturdy structure.

Has all the features a hobbyist and beginner needs.

Smaller build area than Ender 3.

Another hugely popular lost-cost FDM 3D printer on Amazon, the Mega S comes in slightly more expensive than the Ender 3, but benefits from easier assembly (just a few screws and cables) and arguably sturdier structure. However, it does have a smaller build area than the Ender 3, so if you’re looking to print larger models, then the Mega S may not suit you.

It has all the features you need as a hobbyist or beginner to get printing in no time at all. The touchscreen, filament run-out sensor, and upgraded extruder make your experience generally easier, and overall it’s another great low-cost 3D printer.

3. Elegoo Mars 2 Pro Mono

elegoo mars 2 pro mono amazon

Stable, fast, and accurate.

Features a sturdy CNC machined body for extra stability, preventing any vibrations and other factors affecting print quality.

Features a 2K LCD screen.

Larger resin models are available.

The upgraded Elegoo Mars 2 Pro Mono is stabler, faster, and more accurate than ever before. It’s $60 more than the standard Mars Pro, but features a sturdier CNC machined body for extra stability, preventing any vibrations or other factors affecting print quality, as well as an upgraded light source.

It features a 2K LCD screen just like its main rival, the Anycubic Mono, and features a similarly snug build volume — if you want to print larger resin models, you’ll need to upgrade to either the Mono X or Elegoo Saturn (more on this later in this article!).

4. Anycubic Photon Mono

Dominates the low-cost resin 3D printer game.

Powerful yet affordable.

Fast and accurate.

Need to fork out more money if you want a 4K, 6K, or 8K resin printer.

Along with Elegoo’s range, the Anycubic Mono dominates the low-cost resin 3D printer game, with powerful yet affordable MSLA printers powered by capable LCD screens.

The Mono is upgraded to be faster and more accurate than previous models, and the 2K LCD screen creates very accurate resin models for the price — if you want a 4K, 6K, or 8K resin printer, you’ll have to fork out much more.

  • Also get the Anycubic wash and cure station here
  • An alternative to the Mono is the Mono SE, available here

5. Voxelab Aquila

An unbeatable price under $200.

Racks up great sales and positive reviews on Amazon.

An open-source 3D printer with the same build volume as the Ender 3.

Good adhesion to prevent warping.

Beginners will find the instructions difficult to follow.

At an unbeatable price under $200, it’s no wonder the Voxelab Aquila has become one of the best 3D printers on Amazon and racking up sales and positive reviews. For $159 you get an open-source 3D printer with the same build volume as the Ender 3, and that also prints comparatively quietly — a major win if you print in the same room you work in.

The glass carbon-crystal build platform makes for good adhesion to prevent warping, and also makes for easy print removal after you’re done printing. You get an easy-to-use touchscreen, and a filament run-out sensor, not a given at this price range.

Overall, it’s a great Ender 3 alternative 3D printer you can buy on Amazon.

You can also pick between:

6. Flashforge Adventurer 3 — best low-cost auto-leveling 3D printer on Amazon

flashforge adventurer 3

Comes with auto-leveling.

Perfect for beginners and you won’t have to deal with much hassle.

Enclosed, making it safe if you’re around curious young kids.

Small build volume.

Unlike most 3D printers in this price range, the Flashforge Adventurer 3 and Adventurer 3 Lite both come with auto-leveling. This is perfect for beginners that don’t want to deal with the hassle and who just want to turn their printer on, click their project, and get printing.

While the smaller build volume rules it out for any makers who want to print big models like large cosplay pieces or other character models (though you can just print in several parts instead) it is enclosed, making it both safer if you’ve got curious young kids who might touch the extruder and burn themselves, and making it better for printing ABS without it warping.

You can pick between:

7. Elegoo Saturn

elegoo saturn

Good quality and good for large resin models.

Beefed-up 4K 8.9″ monochrome LCD.

Large build area.

Test prints need improvement.

If you’re into resin 3D printing but want better quality or want to print larger resin models than you can on the Elegoo Mars or Anycubic Photon, the Elegoo Saturn is a natural step up.

With a beefed-up 4K 8.9” monochrome LCD the Saturn packs quite the punch, curing layers around 60% faster than Elegoo’s Mars Pro, and with a notably larger build area. The Saturn also features improved precision via the upgraded z-axis with a double linear guide-way, making the printer stabler than ever.

Other low-cost 3D printers on Amazon:

8. Anycubic Mono X

anycubic mono x

The Anycubic Mono X builds on the success of the lower-cost Mono, but with a more powerful 4K monochrome LCD (as with the Elegoo Saturn) and far faster print speed. In fact, it prints at 60mm/h, 3x the speed of previous iterations.

Another major advantage is the larger build volume, so you can either print larger resin models or prototypes, or multiple small resin models at once: ideal for printing multiple castable resin molds for investment casting precious jewelry, or printing out many of your own character designs at once.

The quality and precision are also improved, coming via an upgraded matrix parallel UV source to aid accuracy, and overall, the Mono X and Elegoo Saturn are two of the best-midrange resin 3D printers around — and they’re both 3D printers you can buy on Amazon.

9. Qidi Tech X-Plus

qidi tech x-plus 3d printer on amazon

Qidi Tech’s successful 3D printer range has a printer for every price, and the X-Plus is their sub-$1,000, but over $500 model. Like the larger and more expensive X-Max, another 3D printer available on Amazon, the X-Plus comes with two nozzles, one for standard PLA and ABS printing, and the other for higher-temperature PC and Nylon.

It’s fully enclosed, so your ABS or Nylon filament won’t warp as much while printing, and Qidi Tech’s slicing software prepares your models lightning-fast to keep your workflow efficient.

10. Qidi Tech X-Max

qidi tech x-max 3d printer on amazon

Even bigger than the X-Plus, Qidi Tech are known for their high-quality enclosed 3D printers that function as commercial 3D printers in their reliability, but with a far lower price tag.

One of the major selling points of the X-Max is the interchangeable nozzles. One comes pre-installed and is ideal for standard ABS, PLA and PETG 3D printing. But, if you want to print tougher filaments, simply switch in the other nozzle for high-temperature 3D printing with PC or Nylon.

The only downside is that since it has been popular for so long, newer features like filament run-out sensors and auto-leveling aren’t on the X-Max, but the fact it continues to sell so well and be so highly regarded despite releasing back in 2018 shows how effective it really is.

11. Dremel 3D45

dremel 3d45

A real workhorse, the Dremel 3D45 has been printing prosumer projects since its release several years back, and still keeps up with today’s newest releases. It’s fully enclosable for printing ABS and other materials without warping, and features a large enough build area to print all but the largest projects or prototypes in one.

As you’d expect for a printer in this price range, the Dremel 3D45 auto levels, with a 9-point leveling system. It also has a built-in HD camera for remote monitoring from your smartphone, and can reach high (up to 280C) temperatures to print tougher filaments (the heated bed also reaches 100C).
