1. 3D Printed Harry Potter Time-Turner
- Download: MyMiniFactory
- Designer: Ali
- Price: Free
This clever hourglass aesthetic and gyroscopic movement makes the Time-Turner one of the coolest 3D prints out there.
Designed by a fan, it can actually be used as a real egg timer as well as fandom jewelry!
The design comes as five separate prints which need to be assembled when complete. Fortunately, the video above features a full tutorial on how to put it all together so you can be sure it looks as good as Hermione’s.
2. Hogwarts Legacy Wands
- Download: 3D-Mon
- Designer: 3demon
- Price: $2+
Hogwarts Legacy is all about customization and inserting yourself into the wizarding world of Harry Potter in a way once possible only through vivid imagination and fanfiction.
That’s why, of all the 3D printed Harry Potter wands out there, I’ve chosen to include the STL files for these, so you can make something that feels unique without needing to edit anything in 3D modeling software.
With 8 different want types to choose from and 20 different grips, you can create your own wand for display or cosplay as you like. The files do cost money, but at $9 for the whole set, it’s still a steal.
With different colored filaments or some creative painting, you can 3D print a wand that’s specific to your own personal tastes.
3. 3D Printed Goblet of Fire
- Download: Thingiverse
- Designer: danwaynay
- Price: Free
The fourth book in the series, Goblet of Fire, has been my favorite Harry Potter entry since I first read it at 8 years old. So I had to mention the eponymous goblet as a 3D printed Harry Potter project for the like-minded.
The print is easy, and has been altered to come in two separate parts which need neither rafts nor supports to print well. This means even smaller 3D printers will have no trouble managing this larger-than-most project.
4. Hogwarts Castle
- Download: Thingiverse
- Designer: leoworm
- Price: Free
Six of the seven Harry Potter books take place almost entirely within Higwarts’ grounds, earning the gothic academy a place in the hearts of many fans. And this 3D printed Hogwarts Castle perfectly recreates the arcane architecture of the school.
Surprisingly, this fully sized print doesn’t need any rafts or supports, though it is worth noting that its large size means it may not be a suitable task for printers with build volumes under 220 x 220 x 250mm.
If you want your own 3D printed Hogwarts but don’t have access to a larger 3D printer, then you can instead check out this free mini version instead.
5. Harry Potter Checkers and Chess Set
- Download: Thingiverse
- Designer: TheMiro59
- Price: Free
Harry Potter 3D prints don’t just have to be decorative, and of all the different games and puzzles you can 3D print, my personal favorite is this combo chess and checkers set. Being no stranger to 3D printed chess sets, I had to mention this clever and highly detailed print on this list.
The design takes models from different designers across Thingiverse and rescales them as working chess and checkers pieces made from simple PLA.
Just be warned that the full set isn’t just a 3D printing project, and the plywood box and separate board will need some extra elbow grease to look as good as it does in the video.
6. 3D Printed Golden Snitch
- Download: Cults3D
- Designer: JOLANDMT
- Price: $0.55
The Golden Stitch is natural go-to for 3D printing some cool memorabilia to add to your collection. And while this print won’t hold up through actual games, it’s an excellent decorative piece for any quidditch fan.
This high-quality print is the best I could find, and at a steal of a price. It needs only 25% infill, though to match the resolution of the finished project seen above you’re going want to make sure the print precision is no lower than 1.5mm.
7. 3D Printed Harry Potter Open Book
- Download: Cults3D
- Designer: EUNNY
- Price: $1.00
This charming 3D printed Harry Potter open book is designed with a hinged structure that opens to reveal an adorable wizard-hatted owl along with the famous HP typeset.
This video is a simple tutorial designed so even 3D printing beginners can make this complex-looking project with confidence and ease.
8. 3D Printable Niffler
- Download: Thingiverse
- Designer: drmaettu
- Price: Free
Of all the eponymous beasts seen in the Fantastic Beasts series, few have found their way into fans’ hearts quite as much as the Niffler, an adorable little creature that’s arguably platypus hardware running on magpie software.
This high-quality print was modified from its original to accommodate multi-colored printing to reduce the post-print painting times.
Just be aware that this ia deceptively complex print. Before starting, be sure to triple-check your support settings, and consider adding rafts to ensure success.
9. Harry Potter Cookie Cutters
- Download: Cults3D
- Designer: DAVIDRUIZO
- Price: $2.99
3D printed cookie cutters are a fun way to spice up your next baking session. This collection features the shapes of Harry’s scar, the Golden Snitch, a Deathly Hallows symbol, and the likeness of Harry himself.
Please remember that not all filaments are advisable for use with edible goods. So before you dive into these fun Harry Potter prints, I recommend first checking out our guide to food-safe filaments.
10. 3D Printed Hedwig
- Download: Printables
- Designer: Peter Farell
- Price: Free
Hedwig’s sacrifice is one of the most heartbreaking moments in all of Harry Potter. Fans of our silent yet important hero can remember him through this 3D printed Hedwig figure for their Harry Potter collection.
What makes this model impressive is how it was scaled up from a low-poly version to look amazingly detailed and real.
For the best results, I recommend printing on a resin printer if you have access to one before carefully curing it for a high-quality figure you can be proud to display.
11. Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort Figures
- Download: Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort on Gambody
- Designer: Accio3D and Ranger
- Price: $24.99 each
Finally, no list of the coolest Harry Potter 3D prints would be complete without the two main characters facing off.
These relatively cheap files include models for both Harry Potter and Voldemort, and they’re designed to be fully scalable in your slicer software so you can print them with no issues even if you have a smaller 3D printer, or make them larger than life for a truly imposing tableau.
This print is of stunning quality, right down to the intense expressions on the characters’ faces, and is a print that any Harry Potter fan would be remiss to overlook.
